Love Story Between Tulip and Turkey:
The whole world associate Tulips with Holland, but in actual Tulips were introduced in Dutch by Ottoman. This very name of "Tulip" orignates from Turkish word "Tulbend" which means "turban". Turban was used as headgear in Ottoman era and considered to be a symbol of nobility.
It was exported to Holland in 16th century and it became a sudden hit there. Holland later started cultivating and exporting the flower. Tulip also became cause of economic meltdown in Holland called as "Tulipmania". Turkey's association with Tulip is visible in their architect, pottery, poetry and designing. It very famously used in special occasions.
